Our Story
Perez Auto Body is a family-owned, independent collision repair and refinishing shop in Salinas, California, built around decades of hands-on experience, craftsmanship, and a genuine passion for cars.
The shop was started by my father and has been part of the community for more than 30 years. I grew up around the collision industry, watching my father build the business and learning the trade firsthand. My father has more than 32 years of experience in the collision industry, and that experience became the foundation for my own career.
I entered the collision industry in 2008 and became an I-CAR Structural certified technician in 2010. Over the years, I developed extensive experience in structural repair, welding, aluminum repair, sectioning, fitment, refinishing, and collision repair.
My career eventually took me to Tesla, where I worked in Body Repair Development, helping develop collision repair procedures and working alongside Engineering, SNPI, and other departments. I later moved into Validation/R&D, where I worked on vehicle validations, engineering investigations, supplier issues, structural testing, and repair procedures.
Today, that experience comes back home to Salinas. At Perez Auto Body, we bring the same level of precision and craftsmanship to every vehicle — from minor dent repair to full collision restoration and custom paint work.
